My favorite spot in Ostend... A few years ago, I landed in Ostend, and since then, I've fallen in love with this vibrant coastal city. A breath of fresh air by the sea, with my feet in the sand and the salty sea air in my nose... that's what completely recharges me.
But I also love to head to the Japanese Garden for a moment of peace and quiet amidst the greenery. And in the summer, you'll just as easily find me in the park, when it's pleasantly bustling. That contrast between the quiet and the summer hustle and bustle? That's what truly defines Ostend for me.
My favorite shop in Ostend is... Oops, that's a tough one! Besides the well-known chains, Ostend has so many lovely boutiques. I love popping into Ferm femme and La Fille. You're guaranteed to walk out with something nice. For the readers among us, Boekhandel De Witte Zee is also highly recommended!
My favorite restaurant in Ostend is... Eating out is a true pleasure for me. Brasserie Du Parc remains a firm favorite, but I also love dining at Bottarga. We also have plenty of other restaurant tips we'd love to share with you, feel free to ask us :-)
My favorite accommodation in Ostend Studio is...
Ostend Studio XII - with a sea view. I simply prefer to sit a bit higher - the higher, the better the view :-). Waking up with a sea view in the morning is wonderful! Moreover, the studio is also beautifully and cozily decorated. For me, this is the perfect place to fully get into vacation mode.

When I'm not working, I'm walking my dog Figo, sewing my own clothes, doing Pilates, or relaxing at a restaurant with a cocktail in hand.
My favorite spot in Ostend… are the iconic white benches at the Kursaal. A great place to soak up the sun, eat your lunch, or gaze at the waves.
My favorite shop in Ostend is… Oh, that's a tough one! I think I'll go for "Lily" after all. A fun multi-brand store with both trendy clothes and beautiful home decor.
My favorite restaurant in Ostend is… Paroles Paroles, a funky interior, a sharing menu full of delicious treats, and a cozy vibe.
My favorite accommodation in Ostend Studio is… Ostend Studio VI – with a golf course view. Loooove the view!
